Who we are

Best Wedding Photos (“we”, “us”) is a wedding photography studio based in London, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data described below. For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@bestweddingphotos.co.uk.

What we collect

• Enquiry details — the name, email, phone number, event date, location, chosen collection and message you submit through our booking form.
• Waitlist email — if you choose to leave your email on our Coming Soon page, we store it so we can tell you when the site launches. This is optional.
• Account data — if you have a client account, your email and an encrypted password (handled by our authentication provider).
• Photographs — images taken at your event, stored privately and shared only with you.
• Technical data — essential cookies needed to keep you signed in (see “Cookies” below).

Why we use it & our lawful basis

• To respond to your enquiry and discuss your wedding — on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in answering prospective clients.
• To provide our services once you book — on the basis of performing our contract with you.
• To host and deliver your private gallery — on the basis of our contract with you.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use a small number of trusted processors to run the service:

• Neon — database and authentication (hosted in the EU / London region).
• Cloudflare R2 — private photo storage (EU).
• Vercel — website hosting and content delivery.

If we later add email notifications, our email provider will also be listed here.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to respond and, if you book, for the duration of our engagement plus any period required by law or for our records. Galleries are kept for the period agreed with you. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies — the ones required to keep you signed in to your account. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, so no cookie-consent banner is required. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email hello@bestweddingphotos.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
